The Delhi government on Monday announced curfew in Delhi from tonight to next Monday amid a spurt in Kovid-19 cases. Weekend curfew was already imposed in the national capital.

The positive rate was recorded at 24.56 percent on Saturday, rising to 29.74 on Sunday. 85,620 people were tested on the previous day, while 20,159 became healthy during this period and a total of 7,66,398 people have been cured of the disease so far. Meanwhile, the number of prohibited areas in the capital has increased to 13,259. Meanwhile, 67,448 people were vaccinated. The state has so far vaccinated 25,65,918 people.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that the city is experiencing “acute shortage” of oxygen for Kovid-19 patients. He alleged that the city’s quota has been sent to other states.

The Delhi government on Monday deployed two teams of officials to monitor the purchase and supply of oxygen after a sharp increase in Kovid-19 cases here.
